Santa & Shopping Day

When: Friday, November 24th 

Who is ready for Santa’s first appearance on Hilton Head Island? We are! Join us for a day-after-Thanksgiving “Santa and Shopping Day” with specials and sales throughout the harbour shops and restaurants. Santa will arrive at 12 noon aboard a fire truck and stay until 2:30 p.m. at the Neptune Statue for children to share their Christmas list and take photos! Additional kids activities from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. will include bounce houses and train rides along with holiday music. Bring the kids and grandkids to meet Santa, listen to holiday classics and shop for some special gifts! The first 250 kids will be given a gingerbread cookie to take home (provided by Hilton Head Social Bakery)! Free event, but please bring a new unwrapped toy or canned items for the Deep Well Project.

 

Hilton Head Holiday Boat Lights Display

When: Now through December 31st

This December, take a stroll through our version of a winter wonderland, as Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina transforms into a colorful affair. Stroll the boardwalk, where the marina and boats will be decorated with holiday lights, and enjoy everything a Lowcountry “winter” has to offer. Snap a selfie or photo at a Shelter Cove Marina light display and tag it with #ShelterCoveChristmas.

 

Plant Riverside District’s 1st Annual Festival of Trees

When: Now through January 1st, 2024 @ JW Marriott Lobby on River Street

Featuring a forest of dazzling Christmas trees that represent a unique array of local businesses and organizations, free and open to the public to explore! Proceeds for this year’s event will be donated to the New Ebenezer Retreat Center and the Treutlen House, a safe home for boys.

 

December Nights & Holiday Lights

When: Open select nights, starting Friday, November 24th through Saturday, December 23rd

Returning for its 12th season, December Nights & Holiday Lights will return on Friday, November 24th and be open on select nights through Saturday, December 23rd. Guests will be treated to more than five acres with nearly a mile of magically lit trails and gardens. Newly created themes this year include Alice in Wonderland, Once Upon a Time (with a real fire-breathing dragon), Octopus’s Garden and Carnival of Color. Holiday Lights is a walking event and tickets must be purchased in advance.

Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run

When: Saturday, December 2nd

The Savannah Bridge Run has been sponsored by Enmarket (formerly Enmark) for many years. Held on the first Saturday each December, the Bridge Run has become an iconic event in Savannah. People come from all over the Southeast for the only opportunity each year to challenge the 5.5% grade of the Talmadge Memorial Bridge. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St Joseph’s Hospital. A 5K, 10K, and 15K “double pump” are available to choose from along with a kid’s fun run. With an average attendance over 5000 runners, the Enmarket Bridge Run continues to be one of the biggest crowd drawing events in Savannah every year!

52nd Annual Bluffton Christmas Parade & MORE

The Town of Bluffton is proud to host its 52nd annual Bluffton Christmas Parade, on Saturday, December 2, at 10 a.m. through Bluffton’s Historic District.

Bluffton’s Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 5:30PM on Friday, December 1st at Martin Family Park, followed by Santa’s Workshop at DuBois Park’s Pavilion. The movie, “Elf,” will begin at 6:30PM at Martin Family Park. Please bring blankets and/or chairs. Martin Family Park and DuBois Park are adjacent to each other on Boundary Street in the Historic District. The Town’s Christmas Tree Lighting, Santa’s Workshop, and Parade are the official kickoff to Bluffton’s holiday season.

NEW! This year, the Town has added a Menorah Lighting Ceremony to its holiday event lineup. The Menorah Lighting will be held Saturday, December 9th from 5: 30 – 7:30PM at Martin Family Park. This is a free, public event so together, the community can celebrate additional holiday traditions. This parade, which has been a part of the Bluffton tradition for more than five decades, has grown exponentially parallel to Bluffton’s population. Due to the growth, public and personal safety remains the event’s most important priority.

 

27th Annual City of Richmond Hill Christmas Parade

When: Saturday, December 2nd @ 10AM

The 27th Annual City of Richmond Hill Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10 am. The parade theme will be 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻’ 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲.

 

Winter Wonderland Festival

When: Saturday, December 2nd from 3:30 – 7PM

Where: J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill

Hosted by the City of Richmond Hill & Richmond Hill Farmers Market

Festivities include holiday market vendors, lighting of the Christmas tree, live entertainment, food trucks, Gingerbread Contest & pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, trackless train rides & MUCH MORE!!

2023 Hardeeville Christmas Parade and Merry on Main

When: Saturday, December 2nd starting at 3PM

Get ready for a magical experience as Downtown Hardeeville transforms into a winter wonderland, filled with festive decorations and holiday cheer. The highlight of the event is the Christmas parade, featuring dazzling floats, walking groups, beautiful cars, and cheerful participants spreading holiday joy. Bring your family and friends to witness the enchanting spectacle of the parade. Marvel at the beautifully decorated floats, wave to Santa Claus as he makes his grand entrance, and enjoy the lively music and performances along the route. After the parade, immerse yourself in the winter wonderland atmosphere. Explore the various activities and attractions, including a holiday market with local vendors offering unique gifts and crafts. Indulge in delicious seasonal treats and warm beverages to keep you cozy. Don’t miss out on this festive extravaganza! Make unforgettable memories with your loved ones and celebrate the joy and magic of the holiday season! It’s anticipated that the parade will end between 3:30 – 4PM. This will allow participants plenty of time to get to the Richard Gray Recreation Complex to enjoy the rest of the Hardeeville Holly Days.

 

Savannah Waterfront’s Christmas on the River

When: Friday & Saturday, December 8th – 9th

Celebrate the holidays along Savannah’s Waterfront during Christmas on the River.  This event will take place on Friday and Saturday, December 8-9, 2023 and features live performances, merry melodies and holiday cheer. A variety of dance and musical acts will be featured on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza on Friday evening from 5-8pm and Saturday from 11am – 5pm. Take time to stroll and shop along the waterfront for some unique gifts available from our River Street merchants! You may even spot Santa who will be taking some time away from his busy schedule to join us on the waterfront.

Savannah Waterfront’s 31st Annual Lighted Christmas Parade

When: Saturday, December 9th @ 5:30PM

The highlight of the weekend is the 31st Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday evening, December 9th.  The parade begins at Plant Riverside District on the west end of River Street at 5:30pm and continues to the east end, then winds its way up to Broughton Street and through City Market. Christmas Festival at Trustees’ Garden

When: Saturday, December 16th from 10AM – 5PM

Trustees’ Garden presents its 4th annual holiday event crafted for our community that brings together our neighbors and visitors in celebration, with 100% chance of snow! The Christmas Festival at Trustees’ Garden will be a safe, fun event filled with activities for all ages!
